Welcome to the Bible Way Baptist Church web site. Bible Way is an old-fashioned, Independent Baptist Church where we believe in worshipping and magnifying the Lord in every service. My name is Rick Vannoy and I have the blessed privilege to be called Pastor at Bible Way.
I was born on December 31, 1959 in Abingdon, VA. Shortly thereafter, my parents, John and Catherine, moved to Harford County, MD. In 1977, I graduated from Edgewood Sr. High School, where I met my beautiful wife, Eve. Eve and I were married on September 15, 1979 and moved to Glade Spring, VA. Mrs. Eve and I now have 4 children and 10 grandchildren.
On February 22, 1987 I was born again! Without a doubt that was the greatest day of my life! Not long after I was saved, the Lord called me to preach His precious Word. The Lord allowed me to pastor two churches over a period of 14 years and serve with the Rock of Ages Prison Ministry for 10 years before He called me to Bible Way in May of 2013.
My life verse is 2 Corinthians 4:5, “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.” Would you please pray for this preacher that I would be able to finish my course here on this earth in the very spirit of this verse of scripture.
